Let me ask you something honestly: have you ever felt like Jesus was missing from the altar? I have. Sometimes I go to church and all I hear is religion—law being shared without grace—but not Jesus. Not really.
When you personally encounter Him—when you discover the grace, peace, and affirmation found in His words and His presence—it becomes impossible to go back. Once you’ve tasted that intimacy, you long for more.
When I wrote this song, I was in a very difficult season of my life—one of the hardest I’ve ever experienced. And in that place, He encountered me. He gave me renewed hope and an eternal vision.
This song is for true disciples who experience the ups and downs of following Him wholeheartedly—a reminder of what He promises both in this life and in eternal life. It is for those who long for His words and His encouragement. I am confident it will bring breakthrough into your life, just as it has brought breakthrough into mine.
This is why I released this song. It is a cry to recover Jesus and bring true Christianity back to the temple—back to the center.
